For the last few years Home-Start West Lothian has provided Christmas Hampers for families and we need your help to do the same again this year.
It’s been another tough year for a lot of people with lockdowns, people losing money through Universal Credit changes and improving our mental health has never been more important. That’s way we are asking for your help. We really need your help to make sure families can have a better Christmas and no one is left without, so we’re asking if can help by donating a hamper for a family.
We have produced a list of essential items and a couple of treats for a family of 3, if you or your work place would like to donate these items in a hamper that would be amazing.
If you would like to donate more items for a family of 5 you can double up on the list or add in anything else. Click Here to download Hamper list
Some people buy a few items each week to spread the cost and some buy in one shop so its what ever is easiest for you as long as we can get the Hamper by Friday 11th December so we can get the Hampers to families in time for Christmas.
Alternatively, you can donate to Home-Start on our Just Giving page https://justgiving.com/homestart-westlothian and we can use any donations to buy food for the families that need it.
Here is our list of essential items for family of 2 as a suggested guide of what to get. If you wish to add anything extra, you would be very welcome to but please check it’s that non-perishable or long-life. IF you wanted to provide a hamper for a family of 4 all you would need to do is buy 2 of the items on this list.
