Goal Setting and Me time.
Our Group Worker Emily, blogs on how the little things can be big wins.
“This week at our group sessions we talked a lot about setting tasks and trying to achieve them, whether that’s with the kids and getting them through their school work or for you to take some time for yourself. We talked about the challenges that we have faced when it comes to reaching these goals and how if you don’t reach them you can end up feeling worse about yourself. Our inner critic is good at telling us that things will never get any better… we’re here to tell you that’s totally not the case. You can do anything you set your mind to – you just need to believe in yourself and if you don’t believe in yourself yet then we’re here to say that we believe in you!
Firstly, go easy on yourself – celebrate the little wins in your day. Did you manage to get a hot cup of tea today? Awesome! Did you get dressed? Amazing! Once we recognise that these small goals are achievable we can move onto bigger ones. Like setting aside time to take part in our Live with Lesley session, to do an activity with the kids, come to our virtual walking group, do yoga with Maire-Claire, or dream even bigger than that… the possibilities are endless!
We hope over the weekend you can all set your intentions for next week – what would you like to achieve? Write it down, put it somewhere visible and even if you need to fake it till you make it we hope you take the time to achieve that goal, no matter how small – we guarantee you’ll feel amazing!!
We hope to see you all next week at our groups and would love to hear about you reaching your goals.
Sending you love and light this weekend,
Emily, Lesley and Steph”
